•         EAP is a field of psychotherapy in which horses are used, in a therapeutic partnership with a counsellor/psychotherapist and horse professional to help emotional growth and learning in the client

•         It is experiential in nature – participants participate in activities with horses

•         The focus  of EAP is not riding or horsemanship

•         It is a powerful & effective short term therapeutic application

Josephine’s training is in Integrative/Transpersonal Counselling and Hypnotherapy and she now runs Body Mind Spirit in Dorchester – a complementary therapy & teaching centre -  working there as a counsellor and tutor. From her home in Somerset she works in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.  Josephine sees the body, mind, spirit correlation  as the key to relationship with ourselves, others and our to place in the universe.  Josephine is a qualified adult education tutor and a great believer in the value of creative therapeutic applications.  Josephine’s husband Brian works alongside of her in the role of horse professional. Jointly they have shared the last thirty five years of their lives with their own horses, four of which now work in a therapeutic partnership with them.
